LA colleges admit they underreported sex asssaults

The University of Southern California (USC) and Occidental College, both under federal investigations for their handling of campus sex assaults, admitted this month they failed to report a number of sex crimes over the past few years.

USC did not report 13 sex offenses from 2010 and 2011, according to a a statement by released last week by Department of Public Safety chief John Thomas.

Occidental failed to report 19 incidents which allegedly occurred between 2007 and 2010.
