Take Your Tweets to the Streets

By Adrienne Royer, on August 31, 2009

With Facebook, iPhone Applications, and Twitter leading the social network scene, it seems like a breeze to find likeminded people online in your community and collectively come together for a positive cause. Unfortunately, between the Twitter updates and Facebook Notifications, college students can rarely find the time to squeeze in a two-page paper, let alone actually use their free time to do something productive.

"You Don't Want to Do This..."

By Adrienne Royer, on August 30, 2009

Those words confidently left the mouth of my favorite college professor as we sat eating lunch and discussing my prospect of going to graduate school and teaching political science.

My professor continued, "You definitely have the intellect, and I know you would do well.  BUT...the atmosphere of academia is just so weighing on people like us.  I don't think you would be happy."

Conservativism on the Rise in New York

In the wake of massive budget deficits, ever eroding personal and civil liberties, and skyrocketing public tuition costs - college students across New York are seeking the aid of the Leadership Institute to achieve real results when it comes to expanding or organizing their right of center group and educating and alerting their peers to the dangers of big government.

Note from Jeff Hubbard-LI Rep for Wisconsin and Chicago

By Adrienne Royer, on August 30, 2009

Hello Wisconsin! (and Chicago!)

If you are reading this, then you already know - I have been sent on a rescue mission to save conservative college students trapped behind liberal (welfare) lines. It won't be easy, but with threats of: nationalized health care, government bailouts and global warming hysteria, conservatives are starting to mobilize on college campuses. My job is to facilitate that success in the greater Chicago area and within the state of Wisconsin.

A Harvard Conservative's Guide to a Liberal Arts Education

By Adrienne Royer, on August 30, 2009

Wondering if it's possible to achieve a true liberals arts education at Harvard? A conservative student wrote a guide in the Harvard Salient to choosing the right classes that train students in the classical liberal tradition.

HuffPost on Young Conservatives of Texas

By Adrienne Royer, on August 30, 2009

Huffington Post, darling of the liberal blogosphere, recently mentioned the Young Conservatives of Texas in a post covering a health care protest at the Rep. Chet Edwards  (D-TX) townhall.

Once inside, the Young Conservatives of Texas (yes, those Young Conservatives of Texas) began chanting and holding up signs arguing against reform.

Update from University of Northern Colorado

By Adrienne Royer, on August 28, 2009

GREELEY, CO- While canvassing the campus of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley today, I was approached by campus security telling me that I had to leave.  Having only been on campus for 45 minutes, I was somewhat distraught and tried to plead my case of free speech to the officer.
