A prominent university professor on Tuesday attacked conservatives, suggesting they have intentionally charged the ongoing presidential election with issues of race.

In an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday, Professor James Peterson said conservatives have intentionally inserted race into presidential politics.

“At the end of the day It’s been those on the right who have been injecting race into presidential politics,” said Dr. James Peterson, who the Director of Africana Studies at Lehigh University, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

“Everything from N-word head to Michelle Bachmann’s revision of history, to food stamp president -- it’s all coming from the right,” continued Peterson who was speaking on Martin Bashir’s MSNBC show.

Peterson also accused the lending institution Wells Fargo of “giving out bad loans to people of color.”

His personal YouTube channel contains similar clips, including an appearance on Sean Hannity’s show, where he defended Bill Maher’s remarks linking Republicans to racism.
