A whole lot of talking
I recently attended a meeting of young conservatives where there was a lot of talking. And by talking, I mean just that. Talking about how we need to change things. Talking about how things can be fixed. Talking about what works and what doesn't in today's society. After about two hours of, well, talking, all I began to hear was something comparable to the sound of that teacher from the Charlie Brown television series, "wah, wah, wah". We young conservatives can talk all we want about our opinions, ideas, and plans but until we actually do something about it, these hypothetical thoughts will always be just that. It's time for us to stand up and walk the talk. The conservatives of the future who will put their ideas to use will be much like Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe- the two young conservatives who essentially caused the coming collapse of ACORN. This is something the liberals have become great at, thanks to outrageous leaders such as Saul Alinsky and Bill Ayers leading the way. It's about time a conservative leader steps up and teaches fellow conservatives how to become active. Campus Reform is taking such a role but there are many students who can also become leaders on their own college campuses, are you one of them?
