New book claims leftist campus radicals connected to ISIS
A new book released Monday alleges that the FBI has been investigating connections between campus radical groups like Antifa and international terrorist organizations.
According to bestseller Edward Klein, who teased his latest book titled “All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump” in a Sunday Daily Mail article, there is “overwhelming evidence” of collusion between radical campus organizations and the Islamic State.
“There is clearly overwhelming evidence that there are growing ties between U.S. radicals and the Islamic State, as well as several ISIS offshoots and splinter groups,” a July FBI report to be published in Klein’s book states, showing that the FBI was paying close attention to an anarchist group in Oakland.
As The Daily Mail notes, Oakland borders the City of Berkeley, home to the University of California, Berkeley, where many violent riots have occurred over the past several months, most notably in February when Milo Yiannopoulos attempted to speak on campus.
According to Klein’s account of the report, one member of an Oakland radical group traveled to Syria to meet with ISIS to both acquire “training in tactics” and “discuss possible massive disruptive attacks in the U.S.”
The Oakland radicals are apparently seeking help with creating bombs as well as acquiring toxic chemicals and gasses, the report claims, while revealing several ties between high-profile terrorist organizations and the so-called “Oakland group.”
“Ties between three key leaders of the Oakland group [names redacted] met in Hamburg with a leader of the AQAP [Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula] and the AQIM [Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb]. The leader from AQAP is an Egyptian-born male [name redacted] who is known to be in charge of finances and recruiting for the group,” Klein reveals of the report, confirming that “the bureau has determined they have followers in the radical U.S. resistance movement in the United States.”
As a result, the report predicts that there will be “additional violence in the attacks on law enforcement and U.S. institutions, including banks.”
Members of the Oakland-based group had met with terrorist leaders in Germany during the summer’s G20 Summit, where many Americans were “photographed throwing Molotov cocktails and wielding iron bars,” the FBI reports claims.
While it is unclear which particular resistance organizations may have met with terrorist leaders, the FBI report confirms that they are from Oakland, barrely a 20-minute drive from Berkeley.
Berkeley itself has been home to several violent Antifa uprisings, with the campus being completely overthrown in February, causing thousand of dollars in damage, and repeated threats occurring ever since.
“Everyone's aware that the resistance movement, with its effort to get rid of Trump by any means necessary, has created fertile soil for ISIS and al Qaeda to establish a beachhead in America,” an FBI source told The Daily Mail.
