Hillary Clinton campaign chief joins fight to get Kavanaugh fired as guest prof

Students and professors vying to get Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh fired as a guest professor now have a new ally in a former Hillary Clinton campaign chief.

Brian Fallon, who served as press secretary for Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, is running Facebook ads calling for users of the social media platform to sign on to a Change.org petition, HuffPost reported. The ads will be targeted at Facebook users who have a relationship with George Mason University.

“Brett Kavanaugh has been credibly accused of sexual assault by multiple women whose allegations have not been thoroughly investigated,” Fallon, who serves as executive director of left-wing judicial advocacy organization Demand Justice, said in a press release. “His confirmation to the Supreme Court does not absolve him of guilt, and he should not be given a platform to teach. We stand with survivors and urge the George Mason University administration to fire Kavanaugh.”

As Campus Reform previously reported, Kavanaugh is set to teach a course entitled “Creation of the Constitution” over the summer in the United Kingdom.

GMU spokesman Michael Sandler directed HuffPost to a March 27 statement by school president Angel Cabrera.

”I respect the views of people who disagreed with Justice Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation due to questions raised about his sexual conduct in high school,” the president said. “But he was confirmed and is now a sitting Justice. The law school has determined that the involvement of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice contributes to making our law program uniquely valuable for our students. And I accept their judgment.”

Cabrera plans on attending an April 16 town hall on sexual assault prevention hosted by Mason 4 Survivors, the GMU student group that started the petition to fire Kavanaugh.

Mason 4 Survivors demanded that GMU “Terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh at George Mason University” and issue “a formal apology from administration to survivors.”
