Over 32,000 requests for new TPUSA campus chapters have been filed since Charlie Kirk’s death

Turning Point currently has 900 official college chapters and reportedly has a presence on some 3,500 other campuses across the country.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) says it is experiencing the largest surge of student interest in the organization’s history following the assassination of founder Charlie Kirk.

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, shared on X that the organization has been flooded with more than 32,000 inquiries to start new campus chapters in just 48 hours.

”To put that in perspective, TPUSA currently has 900 official college chapters and around 1,200 high school chapters, with a presence on 3,500 total.”

Kirk launched TPUSA in 2012 to “identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government.” The group has since grown into one of the most prominent student-led conservative organizations in the country.

Kirk’s assassination on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, sent shockwaves across the political landscape. Lawmakers and advocacy groups have condemned the killing as an attack on free speech and political participation.

The unprecedented level of new inquiries signals that young conservatives remain committed to carrying on Kirk’s mission. With 23,000 high schools nationwide, the group’s stated goal of launching a Club America chapter at every campus may be closer than ever before.

Kolvet described the student response as “truly incredible.”
