UCLA to host event encouraging students to masturbate instead of studying for finals

UCLA's event tonight will train students in the use of various sex toys and masturbation techniques.

The Student Wellness Commission Gender Health Committee plans to host more workshops teaching students how to have sex for pleasure.

The University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) will host a workshop tonight titled “Finals Can Wait, Masturbate!” during which students will receive masturbation training and free “climaxing cream.”

During the event, sex educator Elle Chase will “be demonstrating the use of various sex toys and presenting various masturbation techniques,” according to an article in The Daily Bruin, the official student newspaper.

In addition to the “climaxing cream,” all attendees will receive free condoms.

The student wellness commissioner of the Undergraduate Students Association Council (USAC), which is co-hosting the event, said the event is important because people do not talk about masturbation enough.

“We talk a lot about safe sex in the context of heterosexual individuals, but we don’t really talk about self pleasure and masturbation,” Savannah Badalich told the Bruin.

Gamma Rho Lambda - Zeta, which calls itself a “LGBTQQIAA and Progressive Sorority,” is co-hosting the workshop.

The director of the Student Wellness Commission Gender Health Committee — which will become the “Sexperts Committee” next year — plans to host more workshops teaching students how to have sex for pleasure, according to its director Chrissy Keenan.

Neither USAC nor Gamma Rho Lambda - Zeta responded to requests for comment from Campus Reform in time for publication.
